What People Say
Lucy is one of the most warm, loving and understanding human beings you could ever meet and the fact that she put in the time and passion to create this podcast is a gift to the world! A gift that will keep on giving for many years to come .”
She is a fierce advocate of defining her own positive future and works to help others find their voice and confidence when they have lost theirs in the noise of their trauma.
She is deeply passionate about raising awareness that when an abusive relationship ends the abuse doesn’t end. Professionally I dealt with the crisis phase of ending relationships legally and seeking court protection but that process itself can perpetuate the abuse and can be just the beginning of post separation trauma and abuse.
Listening to Lucy and her guests educates us on how to recognise post-separation abuse and trauma and helps the sufferers of it to define a new future for themselves.
She is also funny in the darkest of times and we could all do with a dose of that.”
Working with Lucy means raising your game. She keeps things grounded, gets things done, and always sees the bigger picture. No drama, no ego, just impact. I consider her my friend and confident and am extremely grateful for meeting her.
She breaks down barriers about domestic abuse in a way I’ve not experienced.
It’s not just about abuse but about all of the things that may follow. It keeps the conversation live and allowed and helps to process the dark bits we may not have noticed before. Grateful for her skill and empathy.
The podcast highlights the many different types of domestic abuse which are not necessarily associated with violence towards the victim and not widely spoken about, often manifesting in many other non-physical forms.
Listening to these episodes, which are inspirational to the listener, also helps in giving advice and support for families, friends and colleagues to look out for signs that someone they know may be suffering with a type of domestic abuse.
I have not come across another website where all kinds of domestic abuse are discussed be it physical, emotional, financial etc… I would encourage anyone to listen to the podcast. Lucy Wade is so relatable and addresses this sensitive topic with knowledge, understanding and humanity.
She has vast experience and an excellent way of ensuring her episodes are informative, providing a wealth of learning for her listeners.
Lucy takes great care in creating her podcast and is a fantastic resource that will continue to benefit others”.”
